Big news: Carl’s coming back!!!!

Wishes do come true: Carl Emberson will be returning to Punta Mita, and this time in the position of Director of Marketing and Operations for this acclaimed master-planned community.

When Carl and Sabine Emberson departed Punta Mita late last January there was a slew of lunches, dinners, and — of course — parties celebrating the man who seemed to have brought unbridled “fun” to the otherwise perfect Punta Mita lifestyle of sunshine, ocean activities, golf, and get-togethers.

While Carl held the position of General Manager of the St. Regis Resort Punta Mita, he not only oversaw the spectacular increase in occupancy and reputation of that property but added immensely to putting Punta Mita in the spotlight. It was through his creativity that Punta Mita became home to the (original) Gourmet & Golf Classic, the summer-time Punta Mita Beach Festival, the Flavors of Punta Mita event to support local restaurants and charities, the Nine & Dine Sunday evening golf, the barking-good-time Yappy Hour, and… well, frankly, we’ve lost count.

Is it just us, or has this past season seemed much “quieter” than the past several years?

So it was with great joy that we — and no doubt countless other Punta Mita residents and friends — read the news released by DINE yesterday afternoon announcing Carl’s return! DINE, the developer of the gated, 1,500-acre, master-planned resort communityPunta Mita, is to be congratulated on bringing Carl back in this position to lead the direction of Punta Mita’s branding and positioning in the world of luxury resort hotels and real estate.

“Carl, whose first day will be on July 1st, brings his energy and excitement with him wherever he goes, and we could not be more thrilled to welcome him back home to Punta Mita, where he will fill an exciting new role and be instrumental in consolidating Punta Mita as the premier resort community in North America,” said Andrés Rossetto, Managing Director of Punta Mita.

Carl and Sabine will be enthusiastically welcomed “home”. We must note that Sabine was also a beloved and involved member of the community. Carl commented:

“I am over the moon about returning to Punta Mita, which is full of fond memories and wonderful people I consider to be close friends after working together for so many years,” Emberson said. “The opportunity to fill a new role at a world class real estate development I already call home is truly a dream come true for me.”

Join us in our enthusiastic congratulations to Carl Emberson on his new position and return to Punta Mita. And, fasten your seat belts, as we watch how Punta Mita evolves in this new stage of its development and master plan re-imagination!
