Introducing the Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Guests – Part IV: Special Guests


The Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic will bring together from Nov. 30th to Dec. 3rd 2017 the world’s best Chefs, acclaimed Wine Specialist, world class Golfers and a list of very Special Guests, all reunited  to enjoy of a long weekend full of the most exquisite food, best wines and exciting golf in the most exclusive destination in Mexico: Punta Mita!

This is the forth article of the serie where we will be introducing you the Special Guests participating in the Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf 2017 and whom will join the organizers to create an amazing event!

Lorena Ochoa

Lorena Ochoa Reyes is the best Mexican athlete of all time and was the number one female golfer in the world for 157 weeks in a row. She was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on November 15, 1981.

In 2008, Lorena was on the Celebrity 100 list of Forbes Magazine. On May 2008, Times Magazine ranked her among the 100 most influential world celebrities and was awarded with the ESPY Award for Best International Athlete.

Currently working on presenting her publishing project “Soñar en Grande,” written by her. This book tells her story, successes and failures and reasons for retirement.

Craig Stadler

Craig Robert Stadler is an American professional golfer who has won numerous tournaments at both the PGA Tour and Champions Tour level. His career year was 1982 when he won four PGA Tour events including The Masters after a playoff with Dan Pohl. Stadler won the B.C. Open in 2003, becoming the first player over age 50 to win a PGA Tour event in 28 years. He won 13 PGA Tour events in all, and played on the 1983 and 1985 Ryder Cup teams.

Very popular with the galleries, Stadler is affectionately called “The Walrus” for his portly build and ample mustache. He currently lives in Denver, Colorado. His son Kevin is also a PGA Tour champion. Kevin turned professional and won the 2002 Colorado Open in a playoff with his father as his caddie.

Jorge Campos

Also known as “The Immortal” Jorge is a Mexican former soccer player and current commentator for TV Azteca. With 46 goals (34 league, 5 and 7 Cup Champions League) scored throughout his career, he is the most prolific Mexican goalkeeper and the fourth best goalkeeper in soccer history. He also defended the goal of Mexico´s National Soccer team for two consecutive world championships. Jorge is recognized by the International Federation of Soccer History & Statistics as the third best Goalkeeper in the History of the Twentieth Century.
