Kids Sailing Camp: It’s Really Fun!

Recently Live Punta Mita did a post on Summer Kid´s Sailing Program at La Cruz Yacht Club. Shortly thereafter we were invited to a delicious dinner by local Punta Mita resident where two of the girls that had participated in the camp, Jillian and Jordan were raving about it along with their moms.

Here in Jillian’s own words is her experience:

One day my mom heard about a sailing camp in the La Cruz Marina so we signed up because it sounded kind of interesting. On my first day I was a little freaked out because I had no experience sailing. (Having a friend there helps a lot) But turns out, it’s really fun! They teach you how to sail and the parts of the boat. It’s a little complicated but when you get the hang of it it’s really fun! Occasionally, you have  breaks such as paddle boarding and windsurfing which are also fun. The coach’s name is Wakim (Joaquin) and he’s really nice. It runs weekdays from 11:00 – 4:00. It costs 300 pesos and they feed you lunch.
