The 8th edition of the Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic 2016 is only a couple of days away, and if you have been here for the past editions you know this is an event not to be missed, for many, it is the most popular event of the year in Punta Mita.

Below we have the full Program for you to be aware of all the events  and activities and make your reservations as soon as possible, since our very reliable sources told us that the event is almost booked now, so hurry up and reserve your spot, only very few spaces left!

Program

Thursday, November 29th

The Punta Mita Golf Challenge hosted by Grey Goose

4:00 pm – 5:30 pm | Driving Range, Punta Mita Golf Club

Join us for a brief lesson on the importance of a solid warm-up routine from Mexico’s own Lorena Ochoa and Craig “The Walrus” Stadler, followed by a 4-hole match play challenge on holes 1, 16, 17 and 18 on our Pacifico Jack Nicklaus Signature course.

06:30 pm – 10:00 pm | The St. Regis Punta Mita – Sea Breeze Beach Club

The Sea Breeze Beach Club at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort will host a magical beginning to the VIII edition of this event, with more than 10 chefs paying homage to Mexico and the Pacific Ocean. The resort´s talented culinary team, together with guest chefs John Signorelli from The St. Regis Houston, Erik Guerrero from DOS Restaurant in Veracruz and Alex Branch from Hakasana Group in Los Cabos, will welcome guests with an array of culinary delights, along with mixologists creating signature cocktails from Grey Goose and Tequila Patron.

Friday, November 30th

Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Cup by Tequila Patron | DAY 1

7:00 am | Driving Range, Punta Mita Golf Club

Breakfast for participants will be served by the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita culinary team on the driving range.

8:00 am | Pacifico and Bahia Golf Courses, Punta Mita Golf Club

Shotgun Start

Pacifico Course – 1 Best Ball of two players. Scorecards will be dotted for each player’s strokes.  Golfers play their own ball and record their gross score ONLY. The lowest net score will count for the team.

Bahia Course – Two-person Scramble. HDCP: 35% handicap for player “A” and 15% handicap for player “B”.  Player “A” being the lower handicap.

Players will enjoy live cooking and beverage stations strategically located along both courses.

American Express Platinum House – Kupuri Beach Club

12:30 pm – 3:30 pm

The American Express Platinum House opens its doors for a series of unique and wonderful experiences during the event including wine tastings, cooking classes, book signings, luncheons and more.

3 guest chefs and 3 fun options to choose – restaurant dining, beach lunch, or food truck.

Recognized Mexican guest chef Pedro Abascal will be serving traditional Mexican cuisine paired with wines from Monte Xanic presented by Director Hans Backhoff.

Chef Abraham Salum returns to his favorite beach to prepare some of his favorite dishes from the grill accompanied with wines from Casa Madero.

A very informal option for those who would rather dine in their Swimmers beachside under the sun. From Mexico City, Chef Sergio Chávez will be serving Mexican street fare with a Punta Mita twist as our food truck pulls up at the beach. Get into a beach party feel with music from our Resident DJ and cocktails by Tequila Patron & Grey Goose mixologists.

A chance to try some of Chef Atzin’s signature dishes from his restaurant in Mexico City, Atalaya, which serves Spanish cuisine as well as Mexican specialties.

Sufito Restaurant by Bocanegra | Chef Alfredo Villanueva
On the waterfront at Sufito, Chef Alfredo Villanueva of Monterrey, will prepare a menu from the wood burning grill paired with fresh, local produce.

Sea Breeze Restaurant at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort | Chef Julio Curiel
Chef Julio Curiel creates a menu inspired by this love of local Nayarit cuisine, paired with a selection of Mexican wines selected especially for the occasion.

2:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Punta Mita Culinary Challenge at The Four Seasons Punta Mita
Host Chef Jorge González throws down the gauntlet in this unique and fun culinary challenge for home and guest chefs – come and join in the fun at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita.
