Putting some Rhythm into your Night, jungle style!

There are plenty of entertainment options available to Punta Mita guests. However one in particular, about 20 miles straight across Banderas Bay from the Punta Mita Peninsula — is known to exceed expectations.

The Rhythms of the Night evening adventure, by Vallarta Adventures, is one of the favored ways to spend a fully entertained evening in our area. The nighttime excursion takes you to Las Caletas, a private cove on the Bay’s south shore which is only accessible by boat. There, you’ll enjoy a magical evening that combines dining, entertainment, a boat cruise, dancing and…of  course, cocktails. The show itself is theater-quality, complete with live music and professional dancers, made ever more stunning under the backdrop of an open-air, starry sky.

To take part in this adventure, you have two departure options, from Vallarta Adventures’ headquarters inside Nuevo Vallarta or the Maritime Terminal in Puerto Vallarta. Onboard the boat — which traverses teh Bay during sunset — there’s music, snacks and margaritas to enjoy while you ride along. The Vallarta Adventures staff is super friendly and is always making sure you are having a good time. You can hear drums as you exit the boat onto a pier that leads you to the beach, and a small waterfall welcomes you. The dock is surrounded by flickering torches that light the way to the inner dinner palapas and to the main stage for the show.

The candle-lit dinner offers a wide variety of dishes for all sorts of of tastes. The delicious aromas of grilled steak, shrimp and fish will spark anyone’s appetite, and vegetarian options are also plentiful. There is a variety of salads and a large selection of desserts for a sweet finish. Dinner may be before or after the show, depending upon your departure time.

The show was choreographed  by a former Cirque du Soleil performer artist and you can easily identify a few similarities between the two: the street performers, the acrobatics, the unusual artists’ attire and live music that play along with the performers and most importantly the magic.

Rhythms of the Night is a very impressive display of arts, dance and culture set in a magical location. Definitely a great option for this summer or your next visit to Punta Mita.

We recommend taking a light jacket or sweater in case it gets chilly on your way back.
