The Punta Mita Beach Festival 2014 was a great success! If you were here last then for sure you’ll want to come back next year! And if you were not part of this edition, then you really need to join us the upcoming year.

This event is a true celebration of summer in paradise, and The St. Regis Punta Mita has put together an amazing group of special guests who will be sharing their expertise on each of their particular areas to create an amazing event full of ocean activities, delicious food and spectacular parties.

Jessica-CichraJessica Cichra

With a background in gymnastics & psychology, she is drawn to activities involving movement, present awareness, & lead others a better quality of life. She has many influences and enjoys exploring a variety of adapted styles & techniques. This led her to the creation of Bala Tula. She is specialized in Body Dialogue yoga, alignment & core-stabilization training for functional movement & athletic performance, using these principles as a platform for all modalities of her fitness instruction.

A_P_DominguezAna Paula Dominguez
She studied the career of International Relations in the Institute of Technology of Superior Studies in Monterrey. She is a certified instructor of KundaliniYoga. She completed her training in the Institute of Ayurvedic.

She is the founder and director of the Mexican Institute of Yoga, A.C. and responsible for the organization and conduct of the National Meeting of Yoga and Yoga Expo. She created the Corporate Yoga program that has been implemented by companies like Procter & Gamble, Nextel, Pfizer, Campbell’s, Gatorade, and Dow Chemical. For several years, she continues her formation in Kundalini Yoga and the art of Sat Nam Rasayan, healing under the guidance of his teacher Guru Dev Singh Khalsa. She is the author of the book “Yoga for happiness, health and other things” and “The Map of Happiness”, both edited by Planeta. She recently published the book “Mama I love you Zen” co-authored with Lourdes Botello. Sheis a facilitator of meditation and yoga for the organization of PeaceEarth by the actor Forest Whitaker.

Chef Blouet began his career in 1983. The late 80?s came with man recognitions including Chef of the Year. In 1999, along with two partners, they created Café des Artistes. A 20 year career culminated with the most prestigious award of all chefs, the “Maîtres Cuisiniers de France”.


Scott_ChandlerScott Chandler


Scott Chandler was Raised in Carlsbad, California. He competed in high school on the NSSA amateur circuit. He helped his high school surf team win a championship in 1982 and went on to compete as a pro in PSSA and ASP events finishing top 15 a few years on the PSSA tour and a few good showings in the ASP events. As longboarding began, Chandler competed in the ASP and finished 3 years at top 16. Also competing in PSTA and was invited to the World Championships in Hawaii in 1997. He finished in the top 3 for the past 3 years in the tube riding championships in Puerto Escondido Oaxaca, Mexico. Chandler might have been one of the first Stand Up surfers, before SUP boards were being shaped, he was surfing SUP-style, beginning eight years ago on tandem boards.

ThomasChef Thomas Bermúdez

Born in Mexico City, Tomas began his professional life studying industrial design in the city of Guadalajara; after a while he realized that was not his world. After this, he decided to follow his path in his passion: ‘The Kitchen’. He traveled to Buenos Aires to do his culinary training having a significant trend in Europe. He got a chance to do an internship in ‘La Parrilla del Pobre Luis’ in Buenos Aires to master techniques in grill and smoked. Later he moved to Spain’s famous 3 Michelin star restaurant ‘Martin Berasategui’, where he perfected technique, creativity and high performance kitchen logistics; besides knowing flavor trends, products, and more. The chef Tomás Bermúdez Trejo is known for always being in the forefront culinary techniques adapted to local, national tastes and search products high flavor and freshness, creating trends, making an impact on the diner.


Chef Franco Rivadeneyra

He discovered, at early age, the interest for the cuisine and service. He did his gastronomic studies in the Institute of high cuisine D’Gallia in Peru and Mexican Cuisine Certification en the Centro Culinaria Ambrosia in Mexico.

He is a specialist in Latin American cuisine, fish and shrimp. When he came back to Lima, he began in fascinating hotel world and in 2007 he entered Hoteles Libertadores, the number 1 luxury hotel chain in Peru. He started as a sous chef. Then in 2010, at the age of 26, he assumed the position of executive chef in the Hotel Paracas Luxury Collection. This made him the youngest executive chef in the hotel chain. He did an internship in the 3 Michelin stars laureate restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, which is considered the best in the world.

His cuisine is defined like modern Peruvian without unleashing the classic roots.   

08Javier Alvarez Pintado

Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Javier began his career at the tender age of 14. His devout love for the sport has allowed him to surf a large part of the Mexican Pacifica coast and international surf sports such as Indonesia, Hawaii and South America. His passion for the ocean has lead him to explore alternate water activities such as scuba diving, SUP, tow surf, yoga, kite surf, wind surf, free diving, and spearfishing. 

04Dr. Kenny Broad

An Anthropologist from the University of Columbia has a long history of diving. One of his greatest dives was in the Huautla Plateau in Mexico, one of the deepest caves in the world. In 2011, Kenny Broad, along with Wes Skiles, was named “Explorer of the Year” by National Geographic. A new award presented in recognition of their extraordinary achievements in exploring and documenting the Blue Holes of the Bahamas in 2010. Currently he is a professor at the University of Miami, Director of the UM’s Abess Center and Co-Director of Columbia University’s Research Center on Environmental Decisions.

A native from Mexico City, Mauricio Lemus has hosted numerous exclusive VIP parties, countless club events, as well as at world-renowned luxury hotels in multiple beach destinations. His experience as Music Director for Miami-based beach club, Nikki Beach has brought him to his current residency in Puerto Vallarta.For years he has maintained a consistent goal for each and every event he presents, simply put: Ensuring everyone has a great time – whether it be a Hollywood celebrity birthday bash in Baja, a Trunk Show for NY Fashion Week, or a petit social gathering in Punta Mita.

Chef Olivier Deboise made his first steps in this profession early, in Ilatina restaurant in Guadalajara, in 2001 he took the road in really prestigious cuisines in France like “L´Étrier” at the hotel Royal Barrière in Deauville with Chef Éric Provost and “Le Candille “ at the hotel Le Mas Candille in Mougins with Chef Serge Gouloumès, both awarded with one star in the Michelin Guide.

Tukipa´s  philosophy is respect and exalt the locals tastes and ingredients using with harmony the best  techniques of our time. The result is reflected in every of the culinary creations and in the atmosphere of the site.
