Restaurant Week Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit 2019 is coming soon! – May 15-June 10


All over the world, Restaurant Week is a spectacular event where participating restaurants offer a special, fixed price menu during a week or two, encouraging visitors and locals to experience exquisite dining offerings at very affordable prices.

From May 15 – June 10Restaurant Week will take place in Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit, now featuring 62 of the best restaurants in the region. Throughout the event, these venues offer innovative, three-course menus (with three different options each).

Participating establishments will offer a special menus grouped into three price categories: $289, $399 y $466 MXN per person, allowing you to visit more places.

The number of restaurants participating is large, from Puerto Vallarta downtown to San Pancho, here we are sharing with you the options in the North Shore, nearest to Punta de Mita, but we also recommend taking the time to make a quick visit to Puerto Vallarta and enjoy of a wonderful culinary experience.

Here our recommendations for an extraordinary culinary experience, some of them are just around the corner, and couple more might take a short trip, but believe us, they definitely worth it!

Tuna Blanca

Acclaimed chef Thierry Blouet’s restaurant in Punta de Mita is equally inspired by the white prickly pear, the vibrant designs and colors provided by fashion design firm Pineda Covalin, and the white tuna fish that is commonly captured around the Marieta Islands by local fishermen. As opposed to Blouet´s flagship restaurant Café des Artistes, this oceanfront location feels more Mexican, chic and romantic, with off-the-grill lunch and dinner specialties created by him along with disciple Ramon Alvarez taking center stage. Terrace and beach seating, a broad variety of exotic, tequila- or mezcal-based beverages and outstanding wine selections complement the experience.

Lobster Paradise

Hacienda San Angel Gourmet

Decorated in an elegant Mexican style with ivy-covered archways, the restaurant’s exquisite ambiance and spectacular views offer a unique setting to enjoy some of the most outstanding food in Vallarta. Chef Eduardo Michaca offers a diverse menu, with signature dishes that have survived the test of time including the Cabreria Filet Steak and the Al Pastor Shrimp Brochette, made with grilled Mexican-adobo-marinated shrimp. Specials during the winter season make dinner options even more enticing. As you linger over an enticing dessert or the house coffee laced with Agavero tequila liqueur, enjoy the nightly fireworks as they light up the sky over the crown of the main church.

As beautiful a location as its cuisine, Nicksan is the result of a unique fusion of Japanese and Mexican cuisines, devised by its owners, Angel Carbajal and Masayuki Niikura. A must-visit in Los Cabos since 1994, Nicksan has contributed in raising the bar for gourmet restaurants in Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit.

Spice Market

A timeless paean to Southeast Asian sensuality, the cuisine is inspired by Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s piquant elevations of the region’s street cuisine served in a casual, sexy atmosphere.

Inspired by the street food Mr.Vongerichten enjoyed while traveling in Southeast Asia, Spice Market’s menu authentically uplifts its inspirations while offering guests the additional delight of family-style dining – food comes continuously throughout the meal and is placed at the center of table for all to share. With each new dish, patrons are transported to the idealization of a Vietnamese street market or a Thai food stall. Regional fish sauces, curries and spices are tweaked to tantalizing effect in dishes like chicken samosas with cilantro-infused yogurt, a vinegar-infused pork vindaloo and halibut cha ca la vong.
