Punta Mita joins the Global Wellness Day! – June 5-10

We all want to be healthier, look better and have a good life, physically, mentally and spiritually, but being honest… what do we do to achieve this goal? Many of us… not much. But never is too late to start a new way of conduct our life, and that is the idea that originates Global Wellness Day.

Global Wellness Day is an entirely not-for-profit day, a social project created by volunteers dedicated to living well. The purpose of Global Wellness Day is to ask the question, even if for just one day, “How can I live a healthier and better life?”, to direct the thoughts of both individuals and society towards “living well” and to raise awareness.

The main aims of the day are:

  • To recognize the value of our lives
  • To pause and think, even if for just one day of the year
  • To be free from the stress of everyday city life and bad habits
  • To make peace with ourselves
  • To raise awareness about living well and increase motivation, not just for today, but for the remaining 364 days of the year

With the slogan “One day can change your whole life,” both Punta Mita resorts have decided to join this effort and celebrate Global Wellness Day in paradise. Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita GWD Three Day Program

Saturday, June 10th

  • 8:00 am – Meditation at the Tail of the Whale: Join us to greet the day at the world’s only natural island green.
  • 9:00 am – 8:00 pm – Give Back All Day: The Apuane Salon will donate haircut revenue to Canicas (which supports children fighting cancer) and offer complimentary haircut and styling to guests who donate their hair to this charitable organization.
  • 9:30 am – Crossfit with Luis Oscar Mora: Time to get that heart rate up with one of Puerto Vallarta’s acclaimed trainers, Reebok Crossfit games’ Luis Oscar Mora!
  • 10:30 am – BIO Genetics Presentation: Learn how to optimize your natural potential via DNA Fit.
  • 11:30 am – AquaForza ABS: This water-based activity is one of several new fitness classes now offered at Four Seasons. Join in to see what all the fun is about!
  • 3:00 pm – Stand Up Paddle Rally: Tropicsurf and Vallarta Adventures join together for a fun and active competition.
  • 8:30 pm – Open-Air Cinema – Join us at a screening of Mission Blue, which highlights the importance of preserving our oceans for generations to come. The film features legendary oceanographer, marine biologist, environmentalist and National Geographic Explorer-in-residence Sylvia Earle and her campaign to create a global network of protected marine sanctuaries.

Yoga Retreat with Tom Morley at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita – June 2-5

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita has announce a series of seasonal yoga “retreats” to be held on the property. Whether you’re a devoted yoga enthusiast or are just beginning your practice, you will want to participate in the classes if you happen to be in-residence during one of these sessions.

This coming June, famed yoga instructor Tom Morley will be at the Resort to lead daily rejuvenating sessions at 9:00 am. The one-hour sessions will be held on June 2 through June 5.

The cost is $800 MXP per person per class.

About Tom Morley

Tom Morley has been teaching yoga for 19 years. He was formally trained in Hatha Yoga at Yoga Works in Santa Monica, California in 1997. Tom is a devoted meditation practitioner and facilitator drawing from Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism, Tantra and other traditions.

Tom has pursued various spiritual teachings and healing modalities his entire life. Tom’s first introduction into spiritual studies was through his father, an avid meditation and tai chi practitioner, reiki healer and spiritual seeker. Tom’s philosophy is “We are all capable of being more fully alive and aware beings if we are wholeheartedly open and willing.”
